Learn360: No password needed, just click through the main IRC page onto the icon for this resource. You'll find K-12 media streaming, video, audio, gmaes, and more. This is vetted, sage and ad-free. It includes Classroom Video on Demand and The Mailbox Plus as well as topic centers. Did you know that the entire Reading Rainbow series is available through Learn360? ClickView & Streamable Learning: This link brings you to the resource which is authenticated with our school's SSO. No need for a special password. Here, you'll find short relevant video clips, curated topics and interactives, and virtual field trips to enjoy with your class.
Soundzabound: (user name: hfmboces password: musicnotes) Click through the main IRC page to log in. You'll find a library of royalty free music library you can use to add to presentations and videos. This is a valuable tool in helping students to use media ethically. An excellent resource for both teacher and student-created videos and multimedia presentations!
Kids Discover: (user name: HFMBOCES password: HFMBOCES) Click through the main IRC page to log in. Science and social studies topic coverage for grades K-8. This resource offers video, vocabulary building, integrated reading/ELA activities, and infographics with eye-catching visuals designed to inspire curiosity.
Swank-Movie Streaming: (user name: OESJTeacher password: Welcome1 and students can use username: OESJStudent password: Student1) Click through the main IRC page to log in. Use SWANK streaming when you are looking for a movie and want a simple way to stream it. Our HFM collection offers over 400 pre-licensed movies! Still can't find the title you're looking for? Swank-Movie Licensing: SWANK offers a list of movies that we, as part of the HMF consortium, can stream with the shared license. The only requirement is that you cannot charge admission to your movie. This is not normally an issue during the regular school day, but if you want to include your movie as part of an extracurricular event or fundraiser the movie screening must be free to your learning community. You can sell popcorn or other items in conjunction with the viewing, but the movie itself must be free. 97895-1 for promos.
Sora: You can access this resource via mobile app, IRC, or web application. First, search for the school "Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery BOCES" and then select "Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Csd" to sign in with your school credentials (Google SSO). As a bonus, you can use this app to sign in to multiple library systems, like the Mohawk Valley Library System, simultaneously! New this year: PLConnect library is available to add with over 900 educator books and journals. Students can also use this independently on Chromebook or at home any time. If you want to prepare students to use Sora, feel free to schedule time with Ms. Maldonado to do a walkthrough and introduction to the resource for your class!

NovelNY Databases for Students: Elementary selections include Gale in Context (Learn about animals, plants, music, science, sports, and more) and Britannica School - Elementary (Meeting the reference needs for elementary students). Search the IRC Catalog: This search allows you to find the physical resources (books, maker kits, puppets, etc.) available to borrow from the IRC. You can reserve materials online or by emailing our contact in Johnstown, Shawnee at sglover@hfmboces.org and she will send your order through the courier service. Multi-Book Set List: Here, you'll find a 7-page list of all the books available to borrow in multiples for class-wide reading. Titles range from picture books and graphic novels to beloved early chapter books (Beezus and Ramona, Cam Jansen, Dragon Rider, etc!) and high school classics.
