Challenge Island

Challenge Island's Build a Soccer Stadium is a popular STEM/STEAM engineering challenge where scholars use everyday, low-tech materials to construct their own customized stadiums and miniature player figures.

• Engineering and Design: Scholars use recycled or household items to engineer grandstands, pitches, and custom features for an epic World Cup-style tournament. 

• Foosball Integration: The session challenges scholars to engineer their own spinning foosball players to use in real-play matches. 

• STEAM Principles: The challenge blends elements of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math as kids calculate seating capacity, architectural stability, and field dimensions.
