For my capstone class at ODU i was helping in a 8 year long project that the school is partnering with the game design department to make. the game is monarch odyssey. It is similar to Pokémon go with the fact of you play it form your phone, it has your location so that it ca nshow you walking around the map, and it has little events that happen for people to join in and play. this game was created to help people learn thae campus and have a fun interactive feel to the collage life. This game started about 8 years ago and we have made a good amount of progress with making the map and building models, making and finishing mini games. and making sure that the game works on computer so we can upload the GPS affect later.
I was a part of the programing team for my semester. I was one of 5 people who were charged with implementing all the assets and fixing bugs of previous semesters work. For 3, 2 week sprints, we worked on fixing a lot of the problems with the mini games that are hidden around the map. It was my job to make the whack a mole game not only run well, but also implement assets that would make the game look 100% better. the other few prints we did I was helping with trouble shooting buildings that were implementing wrong. I was helping with a few buildings that needed to be added but weren't looking how they did in the 3D modeling software. I worked really well with my team and we did a lot of good work to further this project, and also organized it for people to come pick up right where we left off.
