OCVTS SAT Prep Course

Ocean County Vocational Technical School District is offering a 7-week course (3 hours per night) to help students prepare for this important test. This course provides an understanding of the SAT format and content, useful test taking and time management tips, guided test practice, and how to identify areas for improvement and target studies to optimize score. Lessons focus on English Language Arts and Math skills covered on the SAT. Students are expected to attend both areas of focus.

The cost for this course is $150 (this amount includes the cost of the book; this is provided registration is completed on time). This price is substantially lower than comparable workshops offered by corporate test preparation agencies. Pre-registration and Pre-payment are required. Refunds will not be issued after the registration deadline unless class is cancelled due to low enrollment or if a personal emergency prevents attendance.

Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings, between 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM beginning on March 10, 2021. Students on remote learning (Cohort C) may participate remotely.

Snack: We request that students bring a snack to energize his or her brain; there will be a 10-minute break in between English Language Arts and Mathematics.

Social Distancing Measures: Student temperatures will be taking upon arrival, mask are required and 6 feet apart is the expectation.

Class Expectations: Students should arrive 15 minutes early, bring their copy of The Official SAT Study Guide (Latest Edition) provided by OCVTS (if registered on time books will be provided the first day of class), and a SAT approved calculator for the math session. TO REGISTER for class: Complete the demographic information on your child at https://tinyurl.com/OCVTSSATs and submit your payment to the MAIN OFFICE at your child’s school ($150 by check made out to the Ocean County Vocational Technical School District) no later than February 5th, 2021. In order to purchase books needed for this class we are requesting that you submit your registration by the deadline date. All late registrants will be responsible for purchasing their own books.
