Welcome to the AI-Powered World! Artificial Intelligence is becoming part of almost every job, whether people realize it or not. As a student in an SHSM program, you have a unique chance to explore how AI connects to your future career before most people even begin to understand it. You have the time and perspective to learn how it really works, and that can give you an edge as you step into the workplace.
Every time you use a face filter, talk to a chatbot, or use auto-suggestions in a search bar, you're interacting with Artificial Intelligence. But as AI becomes more powerful, it’s raising big questions:
Who controls AI? Who decides what it can or can’t do? And what are your rights when AI is making decisions that affect your future?
Just like we talk about being responsible digital citizens on social media, we also need to be responsible AI citizens—people who understand how AI works, question how it’s used, and help shape the rules around it.
Things to consider being AI Literate and someone who has good Digital Citizenship
