1) Vermont doesn't get all these tourists and people to come to a small town like West Glover and overpopulate the area.
2) "Lady Liberty’s Vermont home would have been a high, round hill between Glover and West Glover called Lone Tree Hill. A century ago just one tree sat at the top of the otherwise bare hill. Dean Bailey lives across from that hill, which today is overgrown with pine trees and brush. Like others here, he is happy the statue isn’t in Glover."
3) "If we are to lose the statue it shall go to some worthier and more modest place - Painted Post, for instance, or Glover, Vt."
