Network break down:
BYOD (for students and staff with their own device, you will need an ocsb email and unifired password to access this network
Guest (for all non ocsb afflicated guests with a gmail, if you need a 24 hour gmail try https://proton.me/mail)
Domain and OTHER OCSB offical networks, the wifi password is not public
Email Ms. Terry asap, there's things she can do to help
Lost computers = a locked compter
Return to the library tech's desk, mailbox, etc Ms. Terry will figure out where it belongs.
email her the barcode #or serial number and she'll email you back with the information avialable. A picture also works if all else fails you.
Problem: the computer's battery isn't charging; the computer just died; etc.
Solution: Unplug the cable; replug it in; check for any broken connections; charge it even if you just unplugged it, and make sure you've picked the right charging port.
Problem: who knows, but I can tell something is weird.
Solution: Yes, we're serious. Turn it off and On again
Problem: something feels off and the literally the computer worked five minutes ago
Solution: Check for an update for everything- your broswser, your computer, check you're logged in, etc. if you're on a chromebook google also has a help page, Chromebook Tech Support
Problem: the keys are being weird or the computer geerally isn;t working correctly
Solution: press the keys in the example or follow the Power Wash instructions made by Google. If you need to access the wifi network log in to the BYOD one with your OCSB email.
Problem: frozen screen; battery won't charge; device won't revive/power
Solution: press and hold the keys highlighted until power comes back. if the computer is dead, you'll need to charge it
