As we approach the Christmas Break, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our entire school community for the joy, energy, and spirit that have filled our halls these past few weeks. Advent is a special time in our Catholic tradition—a season of hope, anticipation, and light—and it has been wonderful to see those values lived out so clearly at St. Francis Xavier.

We were so proud of our Grade 7/8 students for their outstanding performance of The Addams Family. Our Christmas Concert filled the school with music and festive joy, while Spirit Week brought creativity and fun as students dressed to themed days and joined together for the much-anticipated Grade 7/8 and High School student vs. teacher games. These moments of laughter, teamwork, and shared celebration are a beautiful reminder of the strong, caring community we are blessed with.

As a Catholic school, we celebrate the birth of Christ at Christmas, while also recognizing and respecting that members of our community may be marking other important religious and cultural celebrations, or observing this season in different ways. Whatever and however you celebrate, I wish you and your families a peaceful, joyful, and restorative break.

May the hope and light of this season be with you all, and may the new year bring health, kindness, and renewed purpose. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year, refreshed and ready for all that lies ahead.

Warm Christmas blessings and holiday wishes to you all.
