Library L.C. Areas available for Booking
The Library L.C. has 2 separate learning areas that may be booked by contacting Library staff.
Area 1 is the central part of the room. It has access to the large presentation screen and to a 55 inch T.V. screen with access to Rogers Cable T.V. , screencast and DVD player.
Area 2 has a smart board and high top tables
There is also a small seminar room with green screen and tripod equipment
Tutorial bookings
The Library L.C. staff are available to give instruction in various subject areas such as:
how to get the most from your online Google tools such as We Video, Book Creator, Screencastify, Peardeck, etc.
orientation on the L.L.C facilities, resources and services
various citation methods
fact checking and credibility of sources
plagiarism
presubmission feedback (will look at your work and make suggestions for improvements before you hand it in to your teacher)

Printing/Photocoping
in the Library Learning Commons
Use of the Xerox Mobile Printer located in the Library Learning Commons (Printer name is- PEH04). It is black and white only:
When printing from a chromebook you can use mobileprint@ocsb.ca
Create an email with attachments on any device - send it to mobileprint@ocsb.ca. If you are on a chromebook you will have to save your Google files as PDF or Docx and attach them to the email. You cannot attach a direct Google file.
You will get a responding email with a numeric code, it will always be the same code.
Go to the Xerox printer in the Library Learning Commons and enter your code from the email for your ID and enter your code again when it requests, and one more time (all 3 times, same code).
You will then get a list of documents you have queued. Select what you want to print using the check boxes on the left hand side. Select your print options and print.
The Xerox machine is also available for in-person copying, scanning, collating and stapling. Access it by imputing your student or employee ID number.
Chromebooks are available for student use INSIDE the L.L.C. ONLY.
Smart TV
The Library L.C. has a 50" Smart TV screen mounted on a rolling cart. This device may be booked for use INSIDE of the L.L.C. ONLY. Please contact a staff member to reserve it.
Cubicon Single Plus 3D Printer in the Library L.C.
Create an object in Tinkercad (found on both the staff and student portals) OR import already designed object into Tinkercad
The printer bed size is: 19cmDx24cmWx20cmH.
Export object from Tinkercad as a .STL file (copy this file onto a USB memory stick)
Bring the USB stick to the Library L.C. staff for printing
The .STL file will be imported into the Cubicreator software
Print settings will be confirmed
The printer only recognizes GCode files (.HFB). This file will be downloaded onto memory stick
Your file will be printed for a nominal cost
PLA filament is used
