Community Service - Michael Carty Award

Community Service - Michael Carty Award

Here at St. Pius X, we like to put our Gospel values into action by actively encouraging student activities that enhance relationships between the school, and the local community, particularly the economically disadvantaged and socially marginalized.

In fact, the school Religion department has been awarded the Michael Carty Award. This award is given to programs that create initiatives that work to improve, develop and enhance aspects of Catholic education in order to contribute to the development of our students as whole people. In the past, the Religion Department at St. Pius has done this in connection with the local St Vincent de Paul Society and the North of 60 initiative. Students work on initiatives for collecting goods, fundraising, and working on-site at St. Vincent de Paul.
