The Modern Languages/French Department at SPX is very dynamic, energetic and creative. It is staffed by exceptionally understanding, generous and compassionate teachers. We focus on enjoyable and authentic learning experiences. Every day, students travel through time in l'histoire du Canada, across the land in la geographie du Canada, continuously develop their faith in les differentes classes to religion. All of this is done in their second national language, le français !

Throughout this pandemic, we kept the French culture alive through various activities such as celebrating Franco-Ontarien Flag Day, holding la semaine de la Francophonie, hosting guest speakers and participating in numerous virtual activities.

Don't be afraid of the fancy author names, or of thinking that you can't write. Some of the kindest, caring most helpful teachers are here, and they will help teach you!
