Intermediate Resource

St. Patrick’s Intermediate Resource Department supports students of varying needs through the implementation of an Individual Education Plan (IEP). The department follows the board’s inclusion model in which students follow a regular schedule and are accommodated within the classroom. The students are connected to a resource teacher who will support their needs in the following ways:

• Develop the IEP in consultation with parents, teachers, students on an ongoing basis

• Assist teachers with any accommodations or modifications to curriculum

• Support student learning in the classroom and individually when required

• Order any special equipment needed for students with supporting documentation

• Assist students and parents in transitioning between grades

Our department focuses on ongoing communication with parents and staff to help students succeed and reach their full potential.
