This course focuses on the development of a personalized approach to weight training and fitness activities. The major focus will be on improving multiple aspects of fitness including strength, endurance, power, flexibility and agility. Students will set goals for specific components of fitness and over the semester students will be tailoring their exercise program to accomplish these goals. Students will investigate different training techniques allowing them to improve their fitness as well as learning about exercise prescription, including how to effectively assess and improve the different components of fitness for various age and gender populations.
