NAC 1O is a course designed for any student interested in learning about the art forms and culture of Canada's Indigenous people (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit). Students will develop art skills as a foundation for further studies in Visual Arts, while gaining a knowledge of Canada's Indigenous people, their history, culture, art forms, and traditions. This course provides students with various authentic learning opportunities such as participating in workshops with Indigenous artists and visiting cultural centres.
This course fulfills the compulsory Arts requirement for the High School Diploma.
