Pandemic, Political Instability, Natural Disasters, Changes in Human Behaviours - These are just a few of the recent and significant shared experiences of our Global Community.
Courses in Contemporary Studies provide students the opportunity to explore the interconnectedness of our world, our communities and each other, by investigating our physical environment, cultural histories, human conditions and behaviours, and evolving shared experiences.
Grade 9 and 10 courses provide building blocks for continued exploration and study in Grade 11 and 12 in the areas of Geography; History; Humanities; Law; Anthropology, Psychology, and Sociology. These courses give all students opportunities to develop and enhance their knowledge and skills in critical thinking, collaboration, experiential learning, inquiry, and research techniques. Pursuing courses in Contemporary Studies will help students become informed, inspired and responsible citizens of our world, who are equipped to react and respond to experiences impacting our local and global societies.
