The Hospitality and Tourism program introduces students to the knowledge and real-life skills they will need to excel within today’s dynamic hospitality, tourism, and culinary industry. Students always love the energy and passion that can be found with our hands on culinary based learning experience in a commercial kitchen setting.
Students coming into Grade 10 or 11 who are interested in hospitality, tourism, or the culinary arts, are encouraged to begin their journey with TFJ2O (Grade 10 Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism), TFJ3C (Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism), or TFJ3E (Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism). Students will develop or expand their knowledge and skills related to hospitality and tourism. Students will also practice culinary techniques of food handling and preparation, health and safety standards, the use of tools and equipment, the origins of foods and event planning
** In grade 11/12, these courses are also part of our Hospitality and Tourism SHSM.
