Skills and Safety Assessement
On the first outing, ALL students must take part in a mandatory skills and safety assessement lead by Camp Fortune staff. Students will be given a blue card indicating they have completed the skills and safety assessement. The blue card will indicate which trails you are to use and may restrict use of certain ski trails until further skills are acquired. Camp Fortune staff will be available throughout the evening should a student wish to have their skills reasessed.
Students are responsible for keeping their blue assessement card for the duration of the ski season. The blue assessement card will give you access to a lift ticket on each of the outings. PLEASE DO NOT LOOSE YOUR BLUE ASSESSEMENT CARD. Should you happen to loose your blue assessement card, you will have to redo your assessement leading to lost time on the slopes.
Lift Tickets
Students will be issued a lift ticket only once they show their blue assessement card to an Immaculata staff member. Lift tickets are to be kept in an outer jacket pocket and are activated once you approach the gates of the chairlift. Please keep your lift ticket away from other items such as phones, coins and cards.
Ski / Snowboard lessons
Students who have signed up for a lesson will exit the school bus first. The mandatory skills and safety assessement will be conducted during your lesson. Your lift ticket will also be provided to you by your instructor. Ski and Snowboard lesson will operate on a 5:1 student to instructor ratio. Lessons are 1 hour in length. Private lessons are not available.
Equipment Rental
Students renting equipment will be directed to the equipement rental office by an Immaculata staff member. All rental equipment must be organized ahead of time. No " day of" rentals will be permitted.
