The Ocean County Council PTA (OCCPTA) acts as a vital link between the local PTA units, New Jersey PTA, and National PTA. It provides leadership, resources, training, and collaboration opportunities for PTA units across Ocean County. The council also acts as an advocate for children and families on a county-wide level.
The objectives align with those of the National PTA, which include:
To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
To raise the standards of home life by promoting better communication and involvement between families and schools.
To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
To bring into closer relation the home and the school, so that parents and teachers may cooperate in the education of children and youth.
To develop united efforts between educators and the general public to secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
The mission of the Ocean County Council PTA, in alignment with the National PTA, is:
“To make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.”
This is achieved through leadership development, advocacy, programs, and fostering strong collaboration between schools, families, and community partners across Ocean County.
Your donation to the Ocean County Council PTA helps us continue our mission of advocating for children, supporting local PTAs, and investing in the future of Ocean County students. This general donation will be used for OCCPTA Expenditures normally incurred throughout the year. Every dollar makes a difference — thank you for helping us empower the next generation!
