A student who is not inside the classroom when the tardy bell rings is considered tardy.
Tardy Procedures
1. Teachers are required to close their classroom doors and not admit any student unless he/she has the proper note provided by an administrator or designee.
2. If a student arrives at his/her class after the door is locked, he/she must report to the attendance office where he/she will be given a note to get into class.
3. After the first ten (10) minutes of the class period, students who are not in class or who have not requested a tardy note to class will be considered skipping (unless excused by an administrator).
Tardy Consequences
Consequences:
1 tardy - Warning
2 tardies - Warning
3 tardies - Warning
4 tardies - Warning, Administrative Conference, and Parent Contact
5 tardies - 1 day Lunch Detention
6 tardies - 1 day Lunch Detention
7 tardies - 2 days of Lunch Detention
8 tardies - 1 day of ISS (This affects your ability to exempt final exams!)
9 tardies - 1 day of ISS and loss of driving privileges
10+ tardies - Required parent meeting before student can return to school
