The goal is to help you get set up in the courses and to introduce you to the instructors. We will also provide a static page for all the forms, tutorials, and any other resources pertinent to the courses offered in CTE.
Edmentum Orientation Videos
In case you can't open the videos at these links, they are included below.
FAQ's will be added here as they arise.
My file is too big to submit to Edmentum. What do I do?
Send it to your instructor via email. When the instructor responds, screenshot the email response and upload that screenshot to Edmentum. If it is too big for email, put it in Google Drive and complete the same steps.
How do I make a video or voice recording?
Use your phone! You can also use your Chromebook which has a camera and a recording function.
Can I complete assignments once they are locked?
No. You can always work ahead in the course but you cannot fall behind.
Help! I was kicked out of my mastery test and have a zero. What do I do?
Go back through the tutorial and it will unlock the mastery test for you. Quizzes can ONLY be taken once. Do not confuse a Mastery Test with a Quiz.
Why does my assignment say In Progress when I've turned it in?
It may be in my queue to grade or it may have been sent back to you. You should check Edmentum and the assignment in question reguarly to see if it has been sent back to you. If I see that the same assignment has been submitted more than twice incorrectly, it will receive a zero. If you submit it blank more than once, it will receive a zero. Please READ the comments that I put in the assignment when I send them back.
Why did my assignment get sent back?
Read the comment that is provided. It could have been submitted blank or unanswered, or you could have submitted it in a format I can't open like Pages.
I'm looking at Unit 1 Activity 1 Dropbox but I don't see any instructions.
You should look at Unit 1 Activity 1 for the instructions. The Dropbox is where you submit it in Edmentum.
Can I use ChatGPT for assignments?
The short answer is No. Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has provided access to exciting and advanced language-processing aids, such as ChatGPT. ChatGPT can be very useful for helping students overcome various barriers that may occur when crafting their coursework. ChatGPT can be viewed as a tool that is available to give feedback, inspiration, suggestions, alternatives, etc. However, students are advised to educate themselves on the limits of ChatGPT and the quality of the information it is able to provide. It is also important to understand its ethical use in academia. AI aids like ChatGPT should not be used to generate content that is then submitted for credit in a course. Originality and authenticity are two key academic integrity principles that students are expected to adhere to. A student’s work should be work that was personally authored by that student only. Coursework should not be created by someone or something else. In summary, AI can be very useful for helping students overcome various barriers that may occur when crafting their coursework. AI can be viewed as a tool that is available to give feedback, inspiration, suggestions, alternatives, etc. However, students must author and create all work themselves.
