I am so excited to be back in the classroom teaching Technology Innovations 6 this year. This is the class that I designed specifically for 6th grade many years, and it has evolved and changed over the last 10 years. This year, our classroom will function more like a creative design studio than a traditional computer lab. Grade 6 is all about shifting from being passive consumers of technology to becoming active creators and innovators.

Class Expectations
To help everyone succeed, we have three core expectations:
Be a Curious Creator: Technology is a tool for your imagination. Whether we are coding, designing digital art, or exploring new apps, dive in with an open mind and a willingness to try new things.
Embrace the "Glitch": In technology, things rarely work perfectly on the first try—and that is exactly how we learn! When code fails or a design breaks, we don’t give up. We problem-solve, tweak, and debug.
Create Responsibly: We treat our digital spaces and classmates with respect. This means taking care of physical equipment and practicing excellent digital citizenship by supporting and collaborating with our peers.
