Ocean
Guidelines:
Please submit the logo both as a vector file (preferably .pdf and .svg) and a raster file (preferably .png).
The logo should be simple and scalable.
The full logo should include an icon as well as the name "Ocean Knowledge Action Network" (written out in full).
Colours should be used strategically and in a colourblind-friendly manner. Note: You do NOT have to use the same colour as the current logo and website.
The logo should also look good in black and white.
The logo should be memorable and recognisable.
Please avoid any religious and political symbols.
The logo must be your own original work. It must not be copied from other designs.
Winning design:
The Ocean KAN may pose follow-up questions to participating designers before and after choosing a winner.
The winner will be chosen before the end of February.
The winning design may require further small modifications based on Ocean KAN community feedback.
The winner will receive a prize of € 3000 kindly provided by the Atmosphere and Ocean Research Institute (AORI) of the University of Tokyo within the shortest possible delay.
Copyright:
The Ocean KAN will gain the copyright of the winning logo design.
In the interest of fairness, all other (i.e. non-winning) submitted logo designs will be deleted from our internal channels and the respective designer will maintain full rights.
Submission instructions:
[CALL CLOSED]
We realise that € 3000 may not fully reflect your hard work and skill and we thank you in advance for the contribution you are making to the Ocean KAN by submitting your design. We hope that the winning design and even this call for submissions leads to more long-term engagement with the Ocean KAN.
