Please dress your child according to the weather as we go outside to play everyday rain or shine. We strongly suggest you make sure your child is ready to play for significant periods of time outside on rainy days. To minimize cloakroom dress up time, please ensure that your child can independently manage their own clothing that are worn to school.
Please clearly label all articles brought to school e.g. boots, shoes, winter clothes, bags, raincoat
No toys/stuffed animals will be permitted at school.
There will be two nutrition breaks. Please send enough food and drink for both eating periods, as well as everything your child will need to eat their lunch (ie. spoon). We ask that all food is placed in one lunch bag. Pack food in reusable containers if possible. Everything including garbage and recycling will be sent home. It is, therefore, suggested that a ziploc bag is included in their lunch to place all the garbage. This will keep their lunch bags clean. Please make sure you can open your child's own container and anything that is messy (like a fruit cup) be put in a reusable container.
Just a reminder that our school is peanut and treenut allergy safe. Please check food labels as many products may contain nuts. If your child brings in a sandwich with “safe butter”, please send a note to let us know that it isn’t peanut butter. These products really look and smell like peanut butter. Thanks for your assistance in keeping our students safe!
Please note these are optional yet very appreciated.
