Athletic Awards

West Carleton Athletics is proud to celebrate the contributions our student athletes make to our school's athletic community. Several different awards are given out each year at our year-end Athletics' Banquet. These awards include:

Athletic Letters are presented to a select group of graduating students who have submitted an application highlighting their involvement in school sport. Points are earned based on their commitment to interscholastic sport, intramurals and leadership involvement.

The True Sport Award is given to recipient who embodies the True Sport values of fair play, leadership, commitment, inclusivity, respect and sportsmanship.

The Athletic Leadership Award is individuals have demonstrated a tremendous amount of leadership and commitment to West Athletics over the years..

The Athletics' Council Co-Presidents Award is given out annually to the group of students who head Athletics' Council.

Athletes of the Year are awarded to one junior male and female student and one junior and senior female student athlete. Criteria for the award include playing a minimum of three sports per year (one per season), being nominated by their coaches, and demonstrating talent, leadership and true sport values.

Awarded to the most persistent student looking for access to the gym at lunch.
