What is the VLE?

The VLE or Virtual Learning Environment is a suite of tools designed to help you and your students take advantage of rich digital resources in a safe and secure environment. Quickly share information with students, hold online discussions, upload your own materials and attach curriculum expectations. Collect assignments and provide feedback.

Logging In and Accessing Your Course

Staff: The VLE can be accessed through the OCDSB website from the Staff Portal.

To login enter your OCDSB email address                                                       (e.g. firstname.lastname@ocdsb.ca ) in the username field and OCDSB email password to sign in.

Student: The VLE can be accessed through the OCDSB website from the Student Portal by entering your OCDSB email address (e.g. jdoe1@ocdsb.ca ) in the username field and OCDSB email password to sign in.

When staff and students log into the VLE they land on their respective homepage. Courses that you are enrolled in will show in the My Courses widget on your homepage.

Course Shells
