Acquisitions Policy and Complaints

Our non-fiction (history, politics, social studies, etc.) books have been curated for their contribution to knowledge and their potential usefulness to students present and future.

The inclusion of controversial ideas in our library does NOT imply approval of particular events or people. Many people in history have suffered from violence, oppression, racism, genocide, colonialism, and imperialism. By learning about past events, it becomes easier to prevent similar things from happening in the future.

If you find certain historical topics offensive or harmful, please raise your concerns with the school librarian or fill in this form to bring it to our attention.

Acquisitions Policy

Here is the acquisition policy for the SRB Library. This policy informs us which books to purchase, as well as which books to remove from our collection.

Problematic Content

If you  have found a book in our collection that you think is inappropriate, please bring it to our attention by submitting this Request for Reconsideration of Library Material Google Form.
