Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP)


The OYAP Program offers students the opportunity to train as apprentices in a skiled trade while completing their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

In year 1 of the program (grade 11), the student explores the skilled trade. The student is a registered apprentice in the second year (grade 12).

More than 156 trade specialties exist, including automotive, construction, manufacturing, and service industries.
