*For the 4 sports that require tryouts (Soccer, Bordenball, Tripleball & Basketball), individual students can participate in 2 out of the 4 sports teams each year. This will allow a greater number of students the experience of being a part of a school team.

Regional Meet:
This year’s Junior Regional Meet for Track & Field will take place at the Terry Fox Athletic Facility at Mooney’s Bay on Tuesday, May 19th.
We have now finished our School Finals and have put together our Regional Team!
IMPORTANT TEAM MEETING: Thursday, May 14th, 2:00 @ Gym
We have a VERY short timeline to communicate all details & collect all required forms, so please read carefully and try to take care of the "action items" as soon as possible. (Firm deadline: this Friday.)
1. DATE & LOCATION of REGIONAL MEET
Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, 10am-4:15pm
Terry Fox Athletic Complex
2960 Riverside Dr.
We will be travelling to/from the Meet via school bus.
(Departure from BPS @ 9:00am. Return @ 5:00pm).
*There is no rain date so the meet will go unless there is lightning.
If ever you know that your child will be unable to attend the meet on the 19th for any reason (i.e., no longer interested, family holiday, appointment, injury, etc.), please let us know right away so that we can offer their spot to the next student in line. As we can only bring two athletes/event, these are highly coveted spots, and we do not want them to go to waste.
2. TRANSPORTATION
We need all students to travel with us via school bus TO the Meet. If you plan on attending the Meet and would like to drive your child home after their event, you can, BUT ONLY YOUR CHILD. Parents will need to sign out their child with BPS Staff while at the Meet.
3. FORMS! FORMS! FORMS!
*Please note that this Friday, May 15th is the deadline for all forms. Monday is a statutory/school holiday, and we depart for the Meet first thing on Tuesday morning. All forms will be verified this Friday, May 15th at 4:00 & students unaccounted for will unfortunately be unable to attend the Meet with us.
Please DO NOT USE a CELL PHONE to complete/submit the Forms. Your Forms may not go through.

4. SCHEDULE & PARKING
We have attached a schedule of the day's events should you not be available to attend the whole day, but want to come and watch your child compete in their event(s).

There is paid meter parking available at Mooney’s Bay beach and paid parking off of Brookfield Road.
5. QUESTIONS & CONCERNS
It is a very busy time right now, so if you have an urgent question for us, please understand that we may not get back to you immediately. Also, please include your child's name in your email as some of the students participating are new to us or have different last names from their parents.
