Cooperative Education is a planned learning experience, for which credits are earned, that integrates classroom theory and learning experiences at a workplace to enable students to apply and refine the knowledge and skills acquired in a related curriculum course or a locally developed course. All students, regardless of their postsecondary destination, have the opportunity to take co-op. Here at AY we run a robust co-op program. We live in a city with a variety of different work options, so we have built a good network of opportunities.

These include placements in specialized trades, high tech companies, dental offices, schools, retail stores, automotive shops, manufacturing, veterinary clinics, accounting firms just to name a few.
