Officers

CHAPTER OFFICERS

Officer positions and responsibilities will be based on chapter needs and officer skills in a given year. DECA recommends launching a new chapter with these three officer positions: President, VP of Leadership, and VP of Marketing. 

Members can nominate themselves or other students for specific officer positions. After initial OC DECA Chapter officers are appointed in fall 2024, subsequent elections will be held in the spring semester prior to each next academic year. 

Officers will serve a full academic year unless the officer graduates at the end of the fall semester. In such a case, a special election will be held at the end of the fall semester to determine a replacement. Officers will be guided and assisted by OC's DECA Chapter Advisor.
