The Karl Van Betuw Trophy
The Karl Van Betuw Trophy is the trophy awarded to 1st place in the Otago Boys' Talent Quest. The trophy is named after an old-boy of OBHS Karl Van Betuw who had a passion for music and the arts. Karl was involved with music both in and outside of school. Unfortunately Karl passed away at the age of 22. The trophy was made from his guitar, which was donated to the school. A beautiful homage in the memory of Karl.
