CAST BIOS

ETHAN KATZ (Bruce) is 20 years old, 5'4", Jewish, into 90s movies, Jeff Buckley, garlic parmesan fries, and long walks on the beach. He is a theater and creative writing double major from NYC.  Past Oberlin shows include 9 to 5 (Josh), Sideways Stories from Wayside School (Dameon), and 13! (Evan). Ethan is also the intimacy coordinator for Falling Westward. He ghosted his therapist in 2021 and never looked back.

ANGELA O’TOOLE (Prudence) is a third-year from Boston, MA and is majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. She previously performed in 13! (Charlotte), Sweeney Todd (Beggar Woman), and 9 to 5 (director). She would also like to give special thanks to her mom and her brother, Jo-Ann and Devan.

JOSIE SHEHADI (Stuart) is a first year from Brooklyn, NYC. Her love from theater grew year after year at a dorky summer theater day-camp in Prospect Park- where they now work as a counselor. Last semester, Josie had a blast painting the sets of two productions through her job at the Oberlin Theater Paint Shop. This is the Josie’s first OMTA production, and she can’t wait to share it with you!

P.S.- Josie would like to thank all the cast and crew for never failing to make them laugh :)

After a brief hiatus following their 2019 performance in The Madwoman of Chaillot, RYLAN DEAN (Charlotte) is thrilled to return to the world of straight plays! Rylan is majoring in Musical Studies and Theater, and has previously performed in Cabaret (Helga) and Sweeney Todd (The Beadle) at Oberlin. To prepare for this role, they have started therapizing people at random; it is not recommended you take their advice. Rylan would like to thank their family, friends, and gay people.

NED BANNON is a 6th year concert piano and neuroscience double major from Naples, Italy. His hobbies are hunting and gathering.  He is so excited to be in first production here at Oberlin! He would like to thank the love of his life, Nick Hennemen for inspiring him every day.

SEBASTIAN CRUZ (The Waiter) is a second year (almost) Theater major from Arlington, Virginia. He's been an ardent stage actor for as long as he could pick up a script and read it (sixth grade), and has been involved in OSTA's Portal adaptation and the department's production of Or,.

ARTISTIC TEAM BIOS

RONAN PARK (Director) is directing for the first time! He is a second year theater major and chose this show because he thought it was funny. He has performed in other Oberlin shows, including Sweeney Todd as Tobias and Cabaret as Bobby. He would like to give an extra special thanks to his family, his girlfriend Kate, and Loretta Wilson.

LOLA TEETERS (Assistant Stage Manager) is a third year English major from the Bay Area, California. They proudly starred in The Little Mermaid in 4th grade. She has never worked in an OMTA production before, so Beyond Therapy was a lovely and chaotic experience that she will cherish.

P.S. Sam is the coolest person ever.

KAT KAHLER (Scenic Design) is a Cinema Studies major from Charlottesville, VA, and is thrilled to be making their set design debut with Beyond Therapy! They have worked as a scenic artist both at Oberlin (Cabaret, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) and professionally, and is currently "abroad" at NYU Tisch School of the Arts for Theatre Production & Design. They would like to thank Ronan and Sam for allowing them to partake despite being abroad during Winter Term, and Andi for taking the reigns on campus. Enjoy the show!!

ARI HEFF (Lighting Designer) is a third year Creative Writing major and Theater, Math and History minor from Newton, Massachusetts. He has previously designed lights for Grisling Hall, Ghost Quartet, Bald Soprano/Zoo Story, and will be designing for Ubu Roi (which you should all come see next week!). He has indeed been to therapy before, but luckily has had a better experience with it than most of the people in this show — and he would like give a special thanks to his dog Holly, who just graduated college with a dogtorate in occupational therapy.

CHARLEY DAVIS (Sound Designer) is a second year Physics major from Baltimore, Maryland. He has previously worked on Spelling Bee and Cabaret at Oberlin and other productions in high school.

RAI RUNIONS (Costume Designer) is a first year prospective anthropology major. They love designing shows with historical fashion and previously worked as a costume designer on Oberlin's production of Cabaret. They have enjoyed working on their first OMTA production and hope you enjoy the show!

DANI JACOBS (Assistant Costume Designer) is a prospective politics and psychology double major and hopes you find the show as funny as they did. This is her first time ever being involved with theatre and loved the

experience.

CLAIRE BLANDINO (she/her) is a fourth year Comparative Literature Major with minors in Literary Translation, Music, and Theater, and she is excited to be a part of the Beyond Therapy team! Claire's previous Intimacy Coordination credits include Stonewallin' (MainStage, In-Person Intimacy Call Leader), The Taming of the Shrew (Main Street Studios), and Cabaret (LabSeries). When she was not working on intimacy for Beyond Therapy this Winter Term, Claire was acting in Ancestra (MainStage, Feb. 8-11).
