James Verheyden

James Verheyden is currently the Section W-1S Chief. In the past, James served as Section Vice Chief, Lo La'Qam Geela Lodge Chief, Vice Chief of Administration, Chapter Chief, and much more. James has been instrumental in the redesign of his Lodge's unit election process and started Election Central in 2017. Now, in 2019, Election Central has been further expanded to be available to all Lodges across the US.

An Eagle, he attended NOAC in 2015 and 2018, NEXT in 2016, staffed the 2017 National Scout Jamboree with Operation Arrow, hiked Philmont Trek Itinerary 35 twice, sailed/scuba dove in the Bahamas and camped over 200 nights with his Troop. James is currently 3rd Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 103 for the 2019 World Scout Jamboree. Past recipient of The Founder’s Award, one of James' biggest goals is to make the OA and the induction experience better for Arrowmen and candidates, ensuring our order's future. James is currently studying Mechanical Engineering at California Polytechnic State University.
