Leigh Academy Oaks- Principal's Bulletin

Dear Parents & Carers,

As another module comes to an end, there are definitely many elements to celebrate. Most prominently the publication of our Ofsted Report! Be sure to check out the pictures in this bulletin of our new banners and our 'celebrity' pupils. We have also had many examples of learning and experiences across the academy that have been remarkable. I have really been impressed by several pieces of writing this module from various different year groups.

Today, I was fortunate enough to spend some time touring the academy with our CEO, who was very impressed with how engaged and enthusiastic our pupils were with their learning. Showcasing the fantastic learning of our pupils is always a real highlight and something I enjoy about working here at Oaks.

I hope you all find time to relax and make precious memories over this half term break.

Family Key Dates M5 and M6 2025-26

Staffing Update

As this module comes to an end, we are saying goodbye to Amy and Naomi, who have both secured employment within a non-school based nursery setting. Both Amy and Naomi are pursuing a different element of Early Years education that Leigh Academy Oaks is unable to offer, working with far younger children. I would like to thank both Amy and Naomi for their time at Oaks, supporting our youngest pupils to develop their skills and qualities needed to be successful learners.

To ensure consistency across Early Years, Miss Williams will be supporting Karen, alongside the rest of the Early Years team to maintain the highest standards of education that we deliver on a daily basis. I am in the process of recruiting and I will update you accordingly once appointments have been made.
