Leigh Academy Oaks- Principal's Bulletin

Dear Parents & Carers,

This has been another fun-packed week at Leigh Academy Oaks, full of joy, excitement and learning.

As you will be aware, our week begun with a full inspection of our academy under section 5 of the Education Act 2005, taking place on 10 March 2026 to 11 March 2026. I am not at liberty to share with you all the outcome of the inspection at present. I anticipate I will be able to share the report with you after the Easter break but this timescale is not set in stone. Rest assured, once I am able to share the report, findings and outcomes with you, I will. What I can say is that I am thankful to my staff and pupils for their efforts throughout the two days. I would also like to thank parents and carers who took the time to complete the Parent View survey and those who took the time to leave 'free text' comments or speak to inspectors in person.

You should have received notification on Friday regarding upcoming parent consultation sessions. I strongly encourage you to book these to gain further insight into how your child is progressing in the academy.

The ending of each week is always a joy of mine - celebration assembly. It is such a pleasure to hear all about the wonderful ways our pupils have demonstrated the Learner Profile Attributes over the week. Well done to all of those that were recognised this week.

Our first every MAGS event was held on Friday. It was a pleasure to see so many members of our community come together and share this special moment. I hope you enjoyed it as much as the children did.

Parent - teacher conferences are happening this term. They are the week of the 23rd March. These are now live on MCAS for you to book.

Teacher-led clubs finish for the term on Thursday 19th March. Molly Marsh and Stones Football clubs will continue for an additional week.

If you require childcare our wrap-around care remains available to book as usual via the MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) app.

Academy Uniform

Trainers are not permitted as school shoes.

At Leigh Academy Oaks, we take great pride in the appearance of our pupils and expect all members of our academy to adhere to our uniform standards.

Please ensure that all uniform is named and checked regularly.
