There will only be ONE representative for ANY direct sale company, which will be on a first-come, first-serve basis with paid applications.

Vendor Space
I will receive a section of space of approximately 10’x10’.
If a larger block of space is required, I will need to pay an additional $55 to get another block of space. No more than three blocks of space per vendor!
Bring your own rectangular or square table, provided it is not larger than 10 feet by 10 feet.
If you wish to rent a table from us, there is an additional rental fee of $15 per table. Please note how many tables you need on the contract.
Two chairs will be provided per table.
If you need electricity for your space, while you are responsible for bringing your power cables, please note that on your contract, so we can attempt to place you by a power outlet.
Priority will be granted to vendors whose product requires no electricity for display.
Exhibitor is responsible for collecting NJ sales tax of 6.625%
Registration Fee
The exhibitor will pay an entry fee of $55 with a $20 late fee.
I will donate an item or items worth at least $10 for a tricky tray to be held on-site, also to benefit the VMS PTO, with proceeds going towards the PTO.
Full payment of entry fees must accompany this contract within 7 days of submission.
The fee is NON-REFUNDABLE and there are NO CANCELLATIONS. However, if the show is canceled for weather conditions, the threat of unsafe conditions, the authority of the law, strikes, or the Act of God, you will receive your full entry fee in the original form of payment.
You will receive an email of confirmation once the VMS PTO receives your contract and payment.
The craft fair will be indoors in the middle school cafeteria, gymnasium, and hallway.
FOOD VENDOR INFORMATION
All food vendors shall require a health food permit!
Food vendors who distribute samples must apply for a permit also.
It is the sole responsibility of the food vendor to obtain the proper permit from the Borough of Oakland Board of Health ahead of time. Failure to obtain the required permit will not entitle the vendor a refund and said vendor shall be held liable should there be a complaint. Food vendors should call 201-337-8111 Ext. 2018 for further information.
Because this is an event run by a non-profit organization, the usual vendor fee for the town of Oakland of $100 will be discounted to $50.
The following are selective portions of the terms and agreements set forth in our contract that we have agreed to abide by with the venue operator, the Oakland Public Schools, which apply to you as a vendor. Please note that if anything impermissible occurs during the entire event – before, during, and after – that relates to you, we will hold you responsible.
Use of School Facilities – Facility Usage [Part D]
1. Users of school facilities shall be bound by and in accordance with law, including all applicable statues and regulations, municipal ordinances, the rules of the Board of Health, Fire Department, Police Department, and applicable Board Policies and Regulations.
2. Facility users are permitted to use only the equipment and supplies specified in the application and approved by the Superintendent and/or the Board. Facility users shall not be permitted to smoke or consume alcoholic beverages or any type of illegal substance on school premises. No food shall be permitted in the buildings, except as specifically permitted and approved as part of the facility use. If food and/or non-alcoholic beverages are served, the user must clean the facility, including all utensils and dishes and restore the facility to its proper condition.
5. Users are permitted only to use facilities, supplies, and equipment expressly identified in the application and approved by the Superintendent and/or Board. Use of unapproved areas, equipment or supplies, or entry into unapproved areas, in expressly prohibited.
6. Written permission must be received to bring decorations or outside materials to the school facility. No decorations or outside materials may be affixed to any school property in any manner that would cause damage to the school property.
7. The user must restore all school facilities to their original condition.
8. The Board assumes no liability for damage to or loss of materials brought to the school facilities. Any materials left on school premise for a period longer than seventy-two hours following the conclusion of the approved use will be considered Board property and may be disposed of by the Superintendent and/or the Board.
Do I need to collect sales tax?
As a business owner you are required to calculate and collect sales tax and report sales tax to the appropriate authorities. Sales tax rates and laws vary from state to state. It is the business owners’ responsibility to be aware and follow these laws.
What if I am on the “Waiting List”?
There is no deposit required for the Waiting List. If we have a cancellation, we will attempt to fill the space from our Waiting List. If we contact you and you tell us that cannot participate, no problem. We understand and respect that you need to fill your weekend.
