Please join the VMS PTO! Membership is $20.00 per family and helps fund PTO operational costs, supports the many activities and events the PTO coordinates. 

We are also officially a 501(c)(3)! Therefore, your membership can be a tax write-off.

When a vote is required, only paid PTO members can vote.

PTO membership drive ends on December 31st of the current school year. 

VOLUNTEERS

To volunteer at school events, one must meet the following requirements.

  1. Submit Parent Interest Form - If you want to be on a committee, you must submit the Parent Interest Form by September 30th of the current school year.

  2. PTO Member - Membership drive ends on December 31st of the current school year.  

  3. Paid PTO membership dues.  - https://vmspto.mycheddarup.com

  4. Submit the HIB Form.

The deadline for submission is the last day of September in the current school year. 

VMS PTO Volunteer Waiver Form

The Valley Middle School PTO deeply appreciates your willingness to volunteer and contribute to our success. As we move forward, we ask all volunteers to submit this form.  Please take a moment to click on the links provided to understand each policy. We understand that your time and effort are invaluable to us, and we are truly grateful for your support. 

The VMS PTO adopted the "Code of Conduct" policy at the June 2024 PTO meeting and would like all volunteers to read it. The Board of Education would like us to make all volunteers aware of the following policies:

  1. School Volunteer Policy

  2. School Visitors Policy

  3. Public Use of School Facilities, School Safety, and Security

  4. HIB Policy


This form is attached to the Membership Form.  

Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying

Every year, the Oakland Public School system requires all parents and or guardians who volunteer in the school to submit a HIB form. (Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying) Please submit the Google "HIB" Form as soon as possible and forward the vmspto@oaklandschoolsnj.org a copy of your response emailed to you from the OPS for our records. The form only needs to be done once a school year.
