A Pupil Progress Meeting is held each half term between the Inclusion Base Lead and the Class Teacher. Each pupil's data across all areas is analysed and intervention planned to close identified gaps or promote progress where necessary.
In Acorns Base, pupils' learning is captured across all curriculum areas on Tapestry. Staff make brief notes about the learning they observed and add assessments against the Acorns Stages or Pre-Key Stage Standards. Small steps of progress are recorded using the Oaklands Centre Small Steps Assessment Scale. Each half term, Class Teachers analyse the data held on Tapestry and create a progress summary. This analysis is used to set ongoing progress targets for each pupil in class planning.
In Oaks Base, pupils' learning in reading, writing and maths are recorded using Single Objective Assessments. There is an assessment task to match each objective contained within the curriculum which pupils complete independently when they are judged by the Class Teacher to be ready. Progress through the assessment tasks is recorded in individual assessment books and analysed through Pupil Progress Meetings.
Foundation subjects are assessed using end of unit quizzes that assess pupils' recall of facts related to the 5 key questions. Quiz responses are analysed and if pupils' grasp of key facts is not secure, intervention work is planned to ensure understanding is clear and the information is moved to long term memory.
Progress towards EHCP outcomes is tracked and analysed using ShowProgress.
