A mindset is a set of attitudes that a person has that influences how they respond to situations.
When it comes to education, people fall into two categories:
Those with a FIXED mindset and those with a GROWTH mindset.
Fixed. People with a fixed mindset believe that their level of skill is set, so practice doesn't make a difference.
Growth. People with a growth mindset think that everything can be learned if you apply yourself and practice.
The trick is finding ways to learn what you don't know.
Neither. Trying is great. But you have to be learning and improving or you're just wasting your time.
Growth. Failure is an opportunity to learn from your mistakes and grow.
Every failure is a chance to learn and improve.
As Thomas Edison once said, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that don't work.
You are not limited by the skills you have now. You can always make yourself better.
It won't necessarily be easy. It might take dedication and practice.
But if you have a dream, it's up to you to obtain it. And the only person who can shoot down that dream is yourself. So don't ever give up on yourself.
Remember the Yeti (or abominable snowman). The Yeti says, "I can't do it, YET!"
