One of the benefits of being in the Oakland Technical Early College is that you can get college credit for work in your OTech class.
Half-way through your senior year, you need to send in an application so that OCC will recognize those credits and add them to your transcript. You have to have a grade of B or better in your OSTC class to qualify.
Click on the button to start the process .
On the student request form, select you home district and high school first. A follow up question will ask where you took the course and OSTC will be an option.
Note: you'll need to obtain a copy of your transcript using Parchment.
Also, if the credit is dependent on a certification, you will need a copy of that cert.
You can also get credit for doing well on Advanced Placement exams.
You have to apply for these credits as well.
The AP Credit Request form gives you the info you need to submit a request and a list of credits you can earn and the scores required on the AP exams.
Submitting AP scores from College Board has a $15 cost. You get one free score send though. But you have to arrange it BEFORE the deadline in June. See info here.
