Instrument use is restricted to authorized users with scheduled reservations.
For first time users: PI must contact Dr. Risner for general information of the project.
Instrument use authorization requires a hands-on demonstration of proficiency to Xiao Zhang. Training is available to users who lack proficiency.
Scheduling is managed through the Clustermarket application (detailed below).
All instances of instrument use must be properly logged using the individual instrument logs for Agilent SeahorseXFe96 Analyzer, Cytation5 Cell Imaging Multimode Reader or Particle-Metrix ZetaView Nanoparticle Tracking Video Microscope
Any instrument issues must be noted in the appropriate log and promptly reported to Xiao Zhang.
PIs are responsible for instrument damage due to misuse by individual users.
To use SeahorseXFe96 analyzer, you may order your own kit or, if you use the facility kit, you will be responsible for reimbursement of the kit price. (Order details: please contact Xiao Zhang at zhang23@oakland.edu.)
Before concluding their session, users must clean up the area and leave instruments in stand-by condition.
Any publications resulting from the use of this unit should include acknowledgement to the core facility of the OUWB Eye Research Center and the Oakland University Eye Research Institute.
This facility is also used for cell culture for the ERC/ERI. To follow the biosafety procedures and be aware of the contamination is VERY important. The detailed information will be provided before you use any instrument.
