Echo Cognito, formerly known as Echo Cognitio was formed by Oakland University honors college students in 2014. It was began as an academically-oriented journal and went through many changes over the years. Due to COVID-19, the organization had to temporarily shut down. Echo Cognito was brought back in 2023 as a themed literary journal focused on more creative works (though it most certainly won’t turn down nonfiction pieces any time soon). Echo Cognito is now open not just to Oakland University undergraduate students, but to undergraduate students all across the United States.
