It is the philosophy of the Oak Grove School District that Family Life Education is primarily the responsibility of the parents. We believe, however, that our schools play a vital role by giving both the students and parents resources and a foundation of mutual interest that will help open the door to honest and sincere communication. Comprehensive Sexual Education is only one part of a Family Life Education Program. What a child knows at any particular age is not so important as how they feel about what they know. Parents and teachers want children to feel they can turn to them with questions and confusions, confident that they will be given truthful and meaningful answers.
