Each of the 4 components costs $495 to submit. Additionally, teachers must pay $75 a year while they're in pursuit of their certification.
If you need to resubmit a component due to a low score, you will not be reimbursed for the additional submission.
Yes! Once you certify you get your invested money back. Once teachers certify, they will receive the $1,900 they invested in the 4 components back, AND begin receiving their allotment. Again, they must stay in those 087, student-facing staff, roles.
Testing for Component 1 is in the Spring.
Submissions for Components 2-4 are in the Spring.
The long wait for score release is from May to December. If you certify, you must be added to the NBC registry.
If you pass all 4 components in December, you will be eligible to receive your refund and allotment by September 1 of the following year.
