Voices of Future Generations

Children between 8-12 years old are invited to participate in a competition and submit a short adventure story, in either Arabic or English, featuring themes around their aspirations for a sustainable future.

StartAD is an Abu Dhabi-based startup accelerator providing students with opportunities to develop entrepreneurial skills and generate innovative solutions to most pressing social issues.

GCMx equips young activists with tools and skills to organize and run engaging events from impact evaluation to effective activism, with supporting materials and mentorship from the Global Changemakers team.

This program unites young changemakers committed to championing nature and solving the planet’s environmental challenges. Through field-based learning, participants will develop new skills to drive positive change in the UAE.


The Higher Education Climate Dialogues (HECD)

This online conference, led by NYUAD and American University of Sharjah, invites students to become moderators or participants in activities aimed at promoting sustainability in higher education and creating pledges for future actions.

Annually, the Emirates Environmental Group hosts the Inter-School and Inter-College Public Speaking Competitions providing students with a platform to develop public speaking skills and present solutions to promote environmental sustainability.

Do you have a social impact enterprise idea? Every year Ma'an is looking for entrepreneurs with creative ideas for tackling environmental challenges like increasing awareness of biodiversity conversation, single-use plastics, recycling, and eco-tourism.


NYUAD Hackathon for Social Good

NYU Abu Dhabi hosts one of the region’s biggest hackathons, empowering students to work in teams and utilize the nascent technology of quantum computing to solve some of humanity’s biggest challenges.

The first ever global standard writers’ fellowship in the region for aspiring locally-based fiction writers. It allows participants to nurture writing skills and gives unprecedented access to renowned authors, literary agents and publishers across the world.

FSL recruits university students and young professionals interested in sustainability and development. Participants connect with global business leaders, policymakers, and technology pioneers through attending various events and forums.

This program, launched by the Federal Youth Authority, aims to empower youth in the UAE by providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to have an active role in achieving the SDGs and aspires to create the next generation of young leaders in the UAE.


Sustainability Ambassadors (SA) Program

SA is a year-long program designed for high school students to become Sustainability Ambassadors by offering them core knowledge & skills training, authentic work experience, and quality networking at major events during the academic year.

In collaboration with Mubadala, Decenture is running a ten-week program for Emirati youth in middle and high school to engage and inspire them with a STEM-focused curriculum. Students get the chance to develop an innovation pitch and improve their programming skills.

RAKFAF encourages artists to express creativity and reflect on their relationship with nature, animals, humans and the universe. It accepts submissions of artworks to the annual festival programs, which include categories in photography, sculpture, film, student and poetry.

Young women aged from 25 to 35 years old have a unique opportunity to leverage their opinions while engaging in enriching educational workshops, mentoring and global networking opportunities focused on tackling global sustainability challenges.
