Here are some examples of what your donation can support:
~$5–$10 – Provides Black girl books and learning materials for participants
~$25 – Covers supplies for data collection with Black families (e.g. family dreaming activities or shared book reading activities)
~$100 – Provides payments to Black youth, emerging adults, and/or families participating in research
~$500 – Supports domestic travel for students to present their research at conferences
~$2,000 – Provides financial support for an undergraduate student to contribute to data collection, coding, and publication writing as part of our training mission (1 semester)
~$10,000 – Funds a Homeplace research project (e.g. student financial support, supplies, participant compensation for interviews, survey, and focus group participation, and a small community led results dissemination event)
~$50,000 — Provides financial support for yearlong part time graduate (Masters/Doctoral) student to contribute to data collection, coding, and publication writing, as well as well as develop their own independent research project as part of our training mission (1 semester)
~$65,000 – Supports the hiring of a part-time lab manager, such as a recently graduated undergraduate student interested in pursing a PhD, to gain research skills while ensuring all our research projects run smoothly
