Echo Magic founder Scott Hirsch is a sound designer, editor and mixer for film and video, a musician, and a Grammy® nominated audio engineer. As a sound designer and mixer for film and video, Scott's selected credits include films by Rick Alverson, Jonathan Caouette, Bruce Thierry Cheung, Andrew Neel, Sam Fleischner, Braden King, and Kelly Reichardt. Musically, Scott produces, engineers, writes, and plays multiple instruments as a solo artist and with artists Hiss Golden Messenger, William Tyler, Mikael Jorgensen, Orpheo McCord and Daniel Rossen. Scott engineered and mixed the album “Follow The Music” by folk music legend Alice Gerrard which was nominated in 2015 for a Grammy® in the “Best Folk Album” category. He attained his masters degree in music technology from New York University, where he concentrated his studies on 3D and spatial audio for film. He is an adjunct professor at NYU's Music Technology department.
