PETER TRAVER

I studied applied mathematics and classical music (theory/history/composition) in undergrad with a focus on classical voice and opera performance. Prior to graduating I got really into experimental electronic music and began making synthesized tracks user Reaper, Logic and my voice. Since graduating I spent a few years as a videographer, video editor, live sound engineer and post-production producer at Harvard University and as a freelancer. I came to NYU to hone my skills in computer programming and electronics; my main focus now is algorithmic composition and constructing interactive installations using sensors and ultrasonic speakers. I love music and art in all forms and want to encourage everybody to try new mediums in their creative practice!
