Purpose: The purpose of this study is to assess your perceptions and feelings regarding whether the Department of the Army responded fairly and consistently to allegations of interpersonal violence.
If you agree to participate, you will be asked to:
Complete at two different time points (i.e., immediately after enrolling in the study and again several weeks later, a target window of approximately 2 months) a brief questionnaire assessing
a) Procedural fairness and transparency
b) The institution’s response to reports of interpersonal violence
c) Your emotions when you think about your alleged event, and
d) Your emotional, psychological, and social well-being.
Compensation: You will not have to pay anything to be in this study. You will be paid up to $50 in a gift card upon completion of all questionnaires ($20 for the first assessment and $30 for the second assessment) if completed out-of-duty hours. You must complete these questionnaires during off-duty hours to receive compensation. If you complete these questionnaires during on-duty hours, you will not be eligible to receive compensation.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: You may only enroll in this two-part study once (as either a complainant/victim or a subject, not both even if applicable). Please note that compensation is separate for each part ($20 for the first assessment and $30 for the second assessment), but neither questionnaire can be retaken.
