Linda, hi
Hope you enjoy reading this!
As you can see from the pages I copied, there is not much known about the time-period when the siblings decided to move to England - does the English branch have more information about this?

Dear Samson family
I love this ever widening circle of family connections and as you can see I've included the Azulays in this reply.
It would be wonderful to meet up in Yerushalayim. Maybe we should try to plan possible dates? Is there a good time / or time to avoid for anyone?
Very best wishes
Chodesh tov
Linda

Linda, hi
So nice to get your email.
I showed it to my mother, and forwarded it to my sister malca (gottesman).
I'll also forwardyour email to david samson, son of nechemya, the oldest child of (my grandfather) chaim eliezer, and to yehudis, oldest daughter of miriam, my mothers older sister, both of whom live near jerusalem..
I remember the azulays. If you are in touch with them, please send my regards. It would certainly be nice to sometime get to meet all of you.
You saidyou haven't gotten away much, but let us know when you are planning a trip to jerusalem and we'll round up the relatives for a get-together.
Lehitraot,
Abie (Avi)

Dear Avi
So delighted you contacted me. I lost the details for your mother and have been wanting to renew contact.
Firstly, I do indeed know who Esther Samson is. She is a granddaughter of Philip Samson, who was my grandmother's brother, siblings of Chaim Laizer. Esther and her husband Danny Azulay were in Israel for Pesach, and will be back (from Florida where they've just moved to from Chicago, but also looking for a place in Israel) in June for a granddaughter's bat mitzvah. Two of their daughters and families are in Israel.
Despite keeping my UK email address (though I've just noticed your adress, so do you commute?) , my husband Ron and I have returned to live in Israel. We are up in Kiryat Bialik and haven't travelled much. Nevertheless we would love to meet up with family which although is quite remote is a deep bond. We even discovered when we were privileged to meet Chaim Layzer, who I remember corresponding with my own dear grandmother, that he had known Ron's grandfather in Russia!
Looking forward to more contact.
Regards
Cousin Linda

Hello Linda,
Greetings from Yerushalayim.
I know that you wrote a note a while back to my mother Rachel regarding her book about her father. She wrote an email to you at this address, but I don't know whether there was any response.
A few days ago, someone called here and spoke to my mother. My mother wrote the name Esther Samson on a piece of paper but does not remember talking to her......do you know who it was?
Thanks!
Avi
